A Demo of Albero, the Lean Decision Tree Technology
Ruud van Vliet, Chief Knowledge/Technology Officer (CKO/CTO), Profict
Decision trees are frequently used by organizations which have to make complex decisions or recommendations based on various criteria. In the public sector decisions have to be made about whether or not a person can get a public transport pass or if a permit will be given. A decision tree can help make these complex decisions.
Albero is a new generation open source decision tree solution, that is very adaptable and can easily integrate with existing environments and websites. Join us for this session and learn more about Albero during a live-demonstration and experience how it can help your organization.

Breaking Down Content Silo’s with CMIS – Will the Dream of Single Source Content Management Become True?
Bas Peters, Senior Consultant, Incentro
Most companies use multiple systems to manage content including documents and files. This is partly due to the fact that IT projects are executed on a departmental level rather than an enterprise level. At the same time a lot of the information captured in these content items needs to be available throughout the organization or even outside the organization. This often results in multiple copies stored in different locations and systems. CMIS is an XML based open standard designed to break down these so called content silo’s. Bas Peters will discuss the goals of this open standard, how it uses XML standards to support common data formats and why CMIS has a bigger chance to succeed as an interoperability standard compared to earlier attempts.

Jan Aertsen, EMEA Engagement Manager, Pentaho
With 203 government stakeholders, CIPAL in Belgium is the only public ICT provider in the region, owned and controlled by local and provincial governments. Facing the Big Data Challenge: Beyond Hadoop
Davy Nys, Vice President, EMEA & APAC, Pentaho
This presentation will give you more insight in:
• Why you need to care about Big Data Solutions.
• How early adopters are building out their Hadoop platforms to bring real value to their end-customers.
Working with Big Data is much, much more than just Hadoop. To make it quick and easy to analyze Big Data, most early Hadoop adopters are turning to some kind of analytic database, such as Greenplum, Vertica or Teradata¹s Aster Data, to provide the low latency data access. Once the data is prepped and in the right storage engine, requirements to provide visualization and analytics across multiple dimensions of your Big Data can work the same as traditional business intelligence.
This presentation will also examine why data integration is one of the biggest challenges to a successful Hadoop initiative, with Enterprise deployment examples and best practices. You will learn how best to deploy business intelligence tools to perform multi-dimensional analytics and visualization. And also how to conduct hybrid data analysis between Hadoop and data from traditional relational data stores.

Building Mobile BI in 2011 for Wider, Faster, Cheaper Adoption
Arjan Heijmenberg, EMEA Partner Manager, Jaspersoft
By mid-2011, over 50% of companies will most likely use some form of mobile BI. Most of these deployments will allow users to view reports and perform lightweight analysis via “small, portable dashboards”. Many will use alerting or notifications. In short, the Mobile BI era has arrived. It is quickly becoming a must-have for many business intelligence initiatives, especially where there’s a need to disseminate critical, real-time business information to large numbers of people. Many companies will augment (or abandon) their current BI vendors in the pressure to support Mobile BI, chiefly because their current platforms are inadequate. Jaspersoft is supporting BI Builders worldwide as they race to cope with the explosion in the demand for mobile browser-based reports and dashboards, interactivity, business rule-driven alerts and notifications, purpose-designed security infrastructures and custom BI apps for specific devices.
