Ron Tolido is vice-president of Capgemini, Group CTO Application Lifecycle Services and CTO of The Netherlands region. He is also a board member of The Open Group.
Ron Tolido studied Dutch language and literature at the University of Leiden before earning a BSc in Information Technology at The Hague Polytechnic. He wrote several books such as ‘object-oriented modelling & C++’ and ‘IAD, evolutionary development of information systems’ and his bundled columns were published in the book ‘The Black Madonnas of IT’.
He is a columnist for Software Release Magazine and IT Executive. Ron also blogs for Capgemini’s multiple award-winning CTO blog and for SlowPlanet, the international hub of the Slow Movement.
He is a frequently invited speaker on innovative technologies, architecture, IT strategy and applications.
Ron Tolido’s interests include excesses in philosophy and literature and he is a reputed believer of open standards, Slow IT, applications simplification and really loud music.
